Community Action Administrative Offices (210 O Street in Lincoln and 365 W. 1st Street in Wahoo)

Amid concerns relating to the spread of COVID-19, and to ensure the health and safety of our employees, participants, and partners, Community Action’s lobbies in Lincoln (210 O Street) and Wahoo (365 W. 1st Street) will be closed to the public effective at close of business Friday, March 20th.

Community Action's Store is also closed at this time and will not be accepting donations of goods until further notice.

We will continue to provide services to our participants during this time while implementing additional pre-screening procedures before doing so. Current participants should contact the Community Action employee they’ve been working with directly for assistance. Others, including those requesting emergency assistance with rent and utilities, may contact (402) 471-4515 as usual.

Community Action Head Start (UPDATE)

Community Action Head Start Centers will continue to be closed through April 3rd.  This is a difficult decision, and is based on the closure of Lincoln Public Schools and guidance from public health experts and our funding agency. Thank you for your understanding during this challenging and unique time. We are planning to continue to connect with you to offer support as much as possible during this time.  Teachers and Family Engagement Specialists will be in touch with information on community resources and educational materials. We will reassess plans to have classrooms open in two weeks. It is likely that our classroom operations will be aligned with Lincoln Public Schools for the foreseeable future.
