For over 40 years, many of your neighbors experiencing hunger have visited Community Action’s Gathering Place to enjoy a warm, homemade meal.
Recently, demand for the Gathering Place's services reached an all-time high. We provide meals to over 220 people per night and consistently serve over 4,000 meals a month. During September, we provided a record-breaking total of 4,538 meals with the generous support of people like you.
Need for the Gathering Place's services is growing. You can meet it.
Through December 31st, your gift will be matched 1:1, thanks to generous support from this year's lead sponsor, Acklie Charitable Foundation, and additional sponsors. This is the most impactful time to support the Gathering Place.
One guest recently said the three words they would use to describe the Gathering Place were love, joy, and peace.
He explained, “Love: I love coming here, and the love is given back, Joy: I enjoy the meal and the time being here, and Peace: when I leave, I feel peace knowing that I had a good meal.”
