Community Action Partnership of Lancaster and Saunders Counties is a nonprofit organization serving people in Lancaster and Saunders Counties who are working to overcome poverty. Founded in 1965, we are a trusted community resource.

Community Action partners with our community in fearless pursuit of anti‑poverty solutions so we all have the opportunity to live well.
Last year, Community Action provided more than 150,000 services to over 18,500 people in Lancaster and Saunders Counties.
More than 39,000 of our neighbors live in poverty. Community Action exists to change that. We work alongside individuals and families to remove barriers, strengthen stability, and create pathways to opportunity.
Who We Serve
Community Action serves individuals and families in Lancaster and Saunders Counties, including children, adults, and seniors who are working to meet basic needs, navigate crisis, and build a more stable future. Our services are grounded in respect, partnership, and a belief that strong communities create better outcomes for everyone.

Through a dual‑generation approach, our early childhood programs support children and the adults who care for them. Our homelessness prevention programs help people navigate crisis and stabilize housing during uncertain moments. Financial and family well‑being services support long‑term economic stability through education, coaching, and individualized guidance. Our hunger relief and healthy food access programs ensure people can meet their most basic need—access to healthy, nutritious food.
