Valentine's Day is the time of year to express gratitude for the people and causes close to our hearts. For the month of February, Community Action is running its
"Heart-to-Heart Campaign," which provides you with the opportunity to support
The Gathering Place.
Located in the heart of Lincoln at 1448 E Street, The Gathering Place has been serving eventing meals to the homeless and near-homeless for 30 years. With the help of hundreds of dedicated volunteers, The Gathering Place serves over 100 meals each week night, approximately 27,000 each year.
There are thousands of people in Lincoln who are sitting down to an empty plate wondering where their next meal will come from. This Valentine’s Day, give a gift from the heart by helping The Gathering Place feed those who need it the most.
